Interfaith Alliance of Iowa celebrates SCOTUS decision for marriage equality

Des Moines, IA – Connie Ryan Terrell, executive director of Interfaith Alliance of Iowa, released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court’s decision in favor of marriage equality for all people:

“It is a day of immense celebration in our country as the Supreme Court of the United States follows the lead of the Iowa Supreme Court ensuring marriage equality for all people across the nation.”

“Interfaith Alliance of Iowa is beyond thrilled as our nation moves closer to a country that respects the rights of all people. As progressive people of faith and no faith who believe in equal protections, we are excited for the same-gender couples in Iowa and across the nation whose marriages today and in the future will be treated no differently than anyone else. It is a day to celebrate and we are proud to have been part of this journey toward equality for all!”
