Much was made of the Iowa Legislature failing to pass an anti-bullying bill during the recently concluded 2014 session. In a press statement, Gov. Terry Branstad used the issue as a political wedge and placed blame on the shoulders of others, stating, "Unfortunately, in the closing hours of the session, Iowa Senate Democrats blocked the measure to provide a safe and secure classroom."
