Are you concerned about the hatred, bigotry, and violence we are seeing in our country? Do you believe all people should be treated equally and with respect in our communities and by lawmakers? Do you wonder what the best way is to stand together and fight back against extremism, using our voices more effectively?
Interfaith Alliance of Iowa wants to talk with Iowans, especially those who aren’t closely connected to our work. Could that be you? We have scheduled a Listening Tour to include several Iowa communities so we may hear from you. If you aren’t familiar with our current work, you can learn about us here on our website. But don’t let that limit your imagination! On the Tour we’ll focus on our mission but the conversation is limitless.
Or, perhaps you are connected and have friends or family in one of the communities on the Tour. Folks who are fully committed to the values of Interfaith Alliance of Iowa…… they just don’t know us yet. Would you share this and encourage them to attend?
We want to include more voices and viewpoints in our work and in our conversations. Perhaps you are…
- A young adult—working or in college
- Muslim, Jewish, Wiccan, Atheist, or from another minority belief
- African American, Latinx, and more
If you are in or near any of these communities, will you join us for some conversation? All gatherings are from 5:30 – 7:00 pm (it’s totally fine if you need to arrive late or leave early). Appetizers and soda are on us. Cash bar will be available in most locations.
An RSVP is encouraged but not required. Please show up if you find yourself available. 515.279.8715 – or – firstname.lastname@example.org

A big THANK YOU to the Drinking Liberally group in Sioux City for inviting Connie Ryan, Executive Director, to speak about the work of Interfaith Alliance of Iowa. It was wonderful to meet so many great Siouxlanders. A special thank you to Gary Lipshutz for making the arrangements and being such a gracious host. It’s just the start of making new connections and finding ways to partner together. We will be back to Sioux City soon. Thank you!
