Interfaith Alliance of Iowa joined the movement for Gun Violence Prevention following Sandy Hook at the urging of many Iowans. Our voice was needed in Iowa’s public debate to protect our children and many communities – including communities of color, minority religious communities, and the LGBTQ+ community — impacted by gun violence. Not just mass murders, but gun violence that happens on the streets and in homes every day across the nation.
We will be pressuring businesses to post a sign not allowing guns on their premises. We will be pressuring sporting goods stores to not sell military-style assault weapons. We will be pressuring lawmakers to pass common sense gun laws that keep our children and communities safe.
Are you with us? Sign here to help us end gun violence!
